Quad bikes are a fun and unique way to explore the island. It is easy to lose yourself on the Island for hours…starting with a laid out guided tour (the hills mostly in your favor), followed by the many sweet treat stops strategically planted along your route.

KAYAK TOURS

Paddle the serene waters of Detroit Harbor, glide over shallow wrecks from the days of sail, or explore the famed Rock Island Boathouse and Viking Hall. There are several kayak tours available for you to check out.

All tours require a minimum of 4 paddlers.

ENJOY A FLIGHT OF LOCAL CIDERS
 

On your way up to the island, swing by Island Orchard Cider, just off Hwy 42, to sample a flight of  their juicy, crisp ciders on the patio!. Although their orchards are located just behind the festival grounds, their tasting room is in Ellison Bay.

MUSEUM

Enjoy the small log cabin, once owned by Jens Jacobsen,and it's collection of regional artifacts. Museum open 10am-4pm daily.

ELECTRIC BIKE RENTALS

These electric bikes can be ridden like a standard bicycle with the option to cruise even faster with pedal assist.  Clocking in at almost 30mph, these bikes will get you to all the fun places on the island with time to spare for lunch or relaxing at the beach.

Explore Washington Island at your own pace with our awesome, full-size side by side utility vehicles. All of the Islands 80 plus miles of public roads are open to ATV and UTV use. With room for up to six passengers, you can bring the whole crew.

​Popular, scenic lakeside destination with clear blue water & a beach of smooth limestone rocks. A favorite area for picnics and swimming. Picnic tables and grills amidst a breathtaking setting.

STATE PARK

A 20-minute ferry ride away, explore Wisconsin’s only state park that’s an island! No cars or bikes. Just beautiful trails, a white sand beach, and the Potawatomi lighthouse. Lighthouse keepers provide guided tours May - October.

Although we'll be serving Door County Brewing Co. beer at the festival, nothing beats an ice cold pint straight from the tap at the brewer itself! Just a hop and a skip away, Door County Brewing is located in Bailey's Harbor.
